Traditional Korean Martial Arts Training

What is Tang Soo Do?

Tang Soo Do is a traditional Korean Karate. Our classes teach self-defence alongside the theory and application of techniques and key principles of traditional martial arts in a friendly and inspiring environment.

Why try Tang Soo Do?

Tang Soo Do is suitable for both children and adults. In today’s hectic society, there is no doubt that we need self-defence skills. Equally important are physical fitness and releasing daily stress. No matter whether you are seeking self-defence, better health, improved wellbeing, physical fitness or discipline, Tang Soo Do can meet your needs. However, Tang Soo Do has its own unique character which differentiates it from many other martial arts.

Leicester Tang Soo Do is a friendly community of martial artists of all ages and abilities practising traditional martial arts together. The real value of Tang Soo Do is not the belt you earn, but the changes that occur within you, in your quest for them. These changes include the betterment of your mind and body, character development and respect for others. The true goal of Tang Soo Do training is to use the lessons you learn in the training hall to enrich every part of your life.

He achieved his 1st Dan Black Belt in 2012, 2nd Dan in 2015, 3rd Dan in 2019, and was awarded his 4th Dan Master’s Belt in 2024.
